Over the past two months, the City of Swift Current has received 95 reported sightings of rats in the city.

Chief Administrative Officer Matt Noble says city officials have visited all city-owned properties and made sure they are clear of any rodents or anything that will attract the rodents.

Bait stations have also been set up around the city, and at the dump site.

The City is asking everyone to not allow debris to accumulate on your property, and to secure your garbage in containers with lids.
