Zachariah Pinel, the owner of the 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger and the 2013 30-foot Car Trailer that was stolen Thursday morning and he is offering a $2,000 finders fee.

Pinel has owned the car for three years after buying it off of his father.

"Basically it's one of those stories where your father doesn't let you drive the car until you own it," Pinel said.

Pinel's father owned the car since 1989 and it was his father and his fathers best friend that fully restored it throughout the 90s.

"Although I am not a horribly sound mechanical guy, but here at Standard Motors the guys in the back, the mechanics, have done an amazing job at helping me maintain that car," he said.

Which only shows that the car doesn't only have sentimental value to Pinel and his father but everyone who has helped in keeping the car in top shape.

Pinel wants everyone to know that he is very grateful and touched to see the support from not only the community but everyone that heard about the theft.

"After it got stolen we put it on Facebook and it got like 4,000 shares in less than a day it's amazing to see, the support that you get is phenomenal," he added. "Car clubs have been sharing across Canada, low cost towing here in Swift Current are keeping their eyes out, and I even got truck drivers on the road, companies saying we've radioed our truck drivers [about it]."

He wants to thank everyone for their help and support, and that he hopes to get his fathers heirloom back into his garage soon.
