Construction at the Highway 1 and 4 interchange will officially kick off today.

Premier Brad Wall, Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter, and Swift Current Mayor Sandy Larson will be on hand for a sod turning this afternoon at the site.

The City says the contractors are expected to move their equipment in to begin grading very soon. The project will involve moving the off-ramps and service roads, widening the highway, and adding traffic signals.
