The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting a total of 69 new cases of COVID-19 in the province in today’s update, bringing the total to 81 646 reported cases. 

Of the 69 new cases, 1 is located in the North West zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 20 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 6 in the Central East zone, 13 in the Regina zone, 6 in the South Central zone, and 11 in the South East zone. 

There is one new case in the South West zone, located in South West subzone 1. 

Five (5) new cases have pending residence information. 

A total of 5 Saskatchewan residents tested out of province, 1 was added to the North West zone, 2 to the Regina zone, 1 to the Saskatoon zone, and 1 to the South east zone. 

Currently, 653 cases are considered active and 80,056 cases are considered recovered, 81,646 cases are confirmed. 

Almost one-third (31.9%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. 

More than two-fifth (42.6%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated. 

As of today, a total of 117 individuals are hospitalized, including 84 inpatient hospitalizations and 33 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 117 patients, 75 (64.1%) were not fully vaccinated. 

There is 1 resident in out of province ICU. 

There was 1 new death reported in the province today.  

937 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%. 

To date, 1,296,249 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.  

There were 2,186 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 49 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 771 230. 

There are now 843,042 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated.
