In today's update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 1,347 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 101,537 reported cases. 

Of the new cases, 11 are located in the Far North West zone, 16 in the Far North East zone, 33 in the North West zone, 122 in the North Central, 51 to the North East zone, 452 to the Saskatoon zone, 45 to the Central West zone, 67 to the Central East, 268 in the Regina zone, 37 in the South Central zone, and 51 in the South East zone. 

There were 33 new cases reported in the South West zone, 3 in South West subzone 1, and 30 in South West subzone 2. 

There are 161 new cases have pending residence information. 

There were 17 Saskatchewan residents that tested out of province and were added to case counts; 7 to the Saskatoon zone, 2 to the Central West zone, 5 to the Regina zone, 1 to the South West zone, 1 to the South East zone, and 1 with pending residence information. 

There are 11,642 cases are considered active and 88,934 cases are considered recovered. 

Nearly two-fifths (38.4%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. 

As of January 17th, a total of 167 individuals are hospitalized; including 154 inpatient hospitalizations, and 13 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 167 patients, 57 (34.1%) were not fully vaccinated. 

The SHA dashboard reports that of the 154 residents that are inpatient. Of those, 67 inpatient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 52 are incidental, Covid infections and 35 have not yet been determined, 13 residents are in ICUs: of those, 8 are for COVID-19-related illnesses, and 5 are for incidental, infections. 

No (0) new death reported today. 961 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 0.9%. 

To date, 1,385,661 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. 

There were 1 532 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 48 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 833 214. 

There are now 878 374 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated. 

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 1,208 (100.3 new cases per 100,000.)      

Since January 1, the New Cases by Vaccination Status table has shown a significant number of new cases as unvaccinated. This data is not accurate. This table is no longer featured on the dashboard until a review of the information is complete and the data rectified.
