The Cypress Health Region held their "Business to Business" session for the construction of Swift Current's new long-term care facility, which was co-hosted by the three shortlisted proponent teams for the project.

"We had Thirty-one participants from local busninesses and a few from other parts of the province come," said Health Region CEO Beth Vachon. "It gave those business people and opportunity to introduce themselves to each of the teams, and talk about their business and what resources thay can give to the project and any future work.

"This is the first time we have gone through this kind of process," she added. "For us, it was interesting to have the three different teams. Normally, when you move into the design of your building, you have already chosen your team."

Vachon says the proponent teams were also given a tour of the construction site and the location of the new facility, and also met with a representative from the City of Swift Current to talk about bylaws and site development.
