Jace Egland had a pair of goals and an assist as the Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires doubled up the Moose Jaw WINMAR Warriors 4-2 at InnovationPlex on Tuesday night.

Cobe Perlinger opened the scoring with 1:05 left in the first period, but Max Threinen equalized for Moose Jaw just 1:26 into the second. Grady Hoffman scored on the power play midway through the middle frame to put Moose Jaw ahead 2-1, but the Legionnaires got goals from Campbell Pinsonneault and Egland just 12 seconds apart to put Swift Current up 3-2 after 40 minutes. Egland added his second of the game on the man advantage at 13:07 of the third period to wrap up the scoring and give the Legionnaires their 13th win in their last 14 games.

Theo McGuire added two assists for the Legionnaires and Cam Perlinger, Brendan Quinn Lagria, Parker Rondeau and Zach Reeder also had helpers. Berney Weston made 29 saves for the win as Moose Jaw outshot Swift Current 31-30.

The Legionnaires (13-3-0-1) will embark on a three-game weekend road trip in Warman on Friday and then Tisdale on Saturday and Sunday. They return home to face the Battlefords Stars on December 3.
