It wasn't the trek to southeastern Saskatchewan this weekend the Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires were looking for.

Swift Current finished off their two-game visit to Estevan last night facing the Bears and fell again for the second time in two days 5-4.

Legionnaires defenceman Carter Herman opened the scoring just 75 seconds into the contest.

The Bears would respond with about five minutes left in the first period, however, Swift Current would jump out to a 2-1 lead 50 seconds later when Denyn Smith would collect his second point of the frame, this time scoring.

Early in the second period, Estevan would knot the game up at 2-2 and then take their first lead of the game with roughly six minutes left in the same period.

Swift Current forward Noah Mitchell made sure that deficit was short-lived as he found the back of the net on a power play with 1:23 left in the second.

Before the period was finished, Estevan would regain their one-goal edge scoring with just nine seconds left.

Defenceman Gavin Granger would score the Legionnaires' second power play marker of the game about six minutes into the third tying the game at 4-4.

For the second straight period Bears defenceman Boston Harkness would score in the final minute and lift Estevan to the victory.

After reeling off a five-game win streak, Swift Current has lost their last four falling to 8-5-1 on the campaign.

The Legionnaires will hit the ice next back at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex on Thursday afternoon against the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
