The latest edition of 50/50 for change will have a large impact in the community! It will impact the local S.P.C.A and all of the fur babies that call the shelter home.

The money will help continue the legacy of four young men in our community, and it will also effect Bill Lee and his family! Over $15,000 were raised during the time period from October 5th through October 27th at 1:58pm!

The last ticket purchased during the 50/50 time period to Bill Lee minutes before it was closed for good turned out to be the winner, which show's that absolutely anyone and any ticket can win!

The S.P.C.A in Swift Current is a no kill shelter, which means that they do not euthinize animals to make room for new animals to come into the shelter, with this operating style they have housed over 300 pets just this year so far, and with the weather turning colder this number could rise!

Bill was very happy about the amount of money going to the shelter as they have a couple pets in their own home that they care for, Lee mentioned that the S.P.C.A is one of the many operations in Swift Current that help make Swift Current the place "where life makes sense."

A portion of this money will also leave a lasting impression on the community of Swift Current and the hockey world.

Over $4,800 will be put towards the Four Broncos Memorial just east of Swift Current located just off highway #1.Bill was also made sure we knew he was keeping some himself to treat his wife as well! Listen below for Marcus' interview with Bill Lee and watch below for the cheque presentation to bill!

Thanks to all the great people of the SouthWest! We look forward to next year!
