Kinetic Park will be especially abuzz this weekend when it stages the Acres and Avenues Trade Show and Exotic Animal and Poultry Sale.

This year's Acres and Avenues Trade Show has been combined with the Exotic Animal and Poultry Sale due to the ongoing avian flu outbreak. Poultry farmers will be at the show, but will not have their flocks with them.

Tracey Stevenson, office manager for the Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association, explains what they'll be up to without their feathered compadres.

"They're providing lots of information," Stevenson elaborated. "There are some other exotic animals on sale."

And while there won't be flocks and stocks of chickens at the trade show, there will be sights to be seen.

The E-I-E-I Joe Magic Show will be performing, going on at noon and at two, which will be a major draw for many farm enthusiasts.

"It's a great magic show to come out to and bring your kids," praised Stevenson. "He's been performing here the last couple of days and he's been really good."

Another big draw will be the Frontier Days ticket blitz that will be offering platinum passes for $100, making it a real savings deal.

At 1 p.m. they will be having the coronation of this year's new ambassador, Ashlee Waldner.

The show will go on both Saturday and Sunday. It will run Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sundays will be a little shorter, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
