Some major upgrades are moving toward reality and a timeline for two francophone schools located in Gravelbourg.

École Mathieu de Gravelbourg and École Beau Soleil will have their HVAC system and boilers revamped in the near future.

"It's a pretty major maintenance project for the schools there," Saskatchewan's Assistant Deputy Minister of Education Rory Jensen said. "And right now we've hired a project manager for it."

Regina's Midgard Project Management Ltd. landed the contracting gig for the $2.2 million project.

"I know the school division (Conseil des écoles fransaskoises) as they have done additional work they've identified some mechanical and cost efficiencies, so we believe it will come in less," he said.

Jensen, said they expect to enter into a procurement phase shortly.
