In the February 6 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 264 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 264 cases, there are 12 in Far North West, 4 Far North Central, 9 Far North East, 31 North West, 13 North Central, 9 North East, 58 Saskatoon, 7 Central West, 27 Central East, and 61 Regina.

There is currently 6 in the South Central zone, and 11 in the South East zone.

There are 16 cases with pending residence information.

Eight cases with pending resident information were assigned to the Far North West (1), Far North East (1), North West (1), North Central (1), Central East (1), Regina (2) and South East (1) zones. One case was found to be a duplicate and removed from the Regina (1) zone.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 25,209, of which 2,413 are considered active.

There are currently 10 active cases in the South West zone. The total active cases in the South West 1 zone to 9. The South West 1 zone is the Consul, Eastend, Shaunavon, Gull Lake, Golden Prairie, Maple Creek and Prelate areas. There is 1 active case in the South West 2 zone, which is Swift Current and area.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 226 (18.4 new cases per 100,000 population).

 Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 50-59 age group from the Far North West (1) and North West (1) zones; and two deaths were reported in the 80+ age group from the Regina (1) and South East (1) zones.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 336.

There are 145 more recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 22,460.

 Two hundred and seven (207) people are in hospital. One hundred and eighty (180) people are receiving inpatient care: Far North West (2), North West (21), North Central (22), North East (3), Saskatoon (67), Central West (1), Central East (10), Regina (50) and South East (4).

Twenty-seven (27) people are in intensive care: North West (1), North Central (1), Saskatoon (11), Central East (3), Regina (10) and South West (1).

To date, there has been 524,222 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there was 3,149 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 2,412 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 41,254. With 11,850 doses having arrived in the province this week and the overages due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received, 101 percent of the doses received have been administered to date.

The 2,412 doses were administered in the following zones: Far North Central (54), Far North East (11), North West (545), North Central (920), Saskatoon (595), Central East (145) and South East (142). Back-dated corrections submitted for February 4 have realized an additional 132 doses of vaccine administered in the Central East (83) and South East (49) zones.
