As a whole, Saskatchewan residents rank second lowest in the country when it comes to those people receiving regular employment insurance benefits.

 

The lates report received in May shows a sharp drop of more than 2300 residents receiving the benefits from the same time last year with just over 10,000 total beneficiaries in the province.

 

The province's year over year decrease of 18% is above the national average of 15.1%.

 

Saskatchewan has the second fewest people receiving EI benefits at 13.3% with Alberta being the lowest at 1.1%.
