City of Swift Current Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Pete L'Heureux.

In honor of Fire Prevention Week this week the city of Swift Current Fire Department are handing out free batteries this morning (Tuesday).

Members of the fire department will be out in front of the fire hall on the north side of the building at 236 Chaplin St. E just after 8:00 and will be giving away 1000 free batteries to people as they pass by. People are then encouraged to put the batteries in their smoke detectors to make sure they're working properly.
