The Broncos host the Lethbridge Hurricanes tonight, but they will have to do it without the services of forward Coda Gordon.

He's in Kelowna for the Canadian Hockey League prospects game.

Gordon is proud to be among the other top draft eligible players.

"It's a huge honour," Gordon said. "To be compared to (the top guys in the CHL) it's special"

Gordon has some goals in mind.

"Just to show that I can play with those top guys," Gordon said. "Play at that level and play at the next level."

Gordon participated in the hardest shot contest as part of the skills competition yesterday. He shot 84.2 miles per hour.

The Bronco prospect will suit up tonight as part of Team Cherry. He is 6th in WHL rookie scoring with 20 goals and 20 assists in 46 games.

Meanwhile, the Broncos carry on without Gordon against the Hurricanes tonight.

It's the first of three home games this week for Swift Current. They started the week with a 3-1 loss in Saskatoon last night.

Our broadcast starts at 6:30pm tonight on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
