The Government of Saskatchewan plans to privatize 60% of the Crown Corporation that handles land and personal property registries. The plan is to sell shares in the company with the province retaining at least 40% ownership.

Don McMorris, Minister Responsible for Information Services Corporation, says it's the best way for the company to grow beyond our borders.

"We can see the results after the privatization of PCS (Potash Corp), we can see the results after the privatization of Cameco and how they've expanded and grown.:

At a cost of close to $100 million, ISC was created to develop a computerized system of land titles registration for the province.  Right now, the company is said to be worth upwards of $120 million dollars but if the sale goes ahead, it's believed the company could grow to over $200 million.

While province planning to keep 40% of the shares, they have also provided a break down for the sale of the remainder. About half will go on the open market, 45% will be sold to Saskatchewan residents only and the last 5% will be set aside of ISC employees who are interested in investing in the company.
