We got out to Cabri on Sunday for their 3rd annual Gutsy Walk, which raises money for Chron's & Colitis Canada. Chron's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, whose symptoms include severe and unpredictable abdominal pain, affect one in every 150 Canadians and the amount of new diagnoses is rising, especially in children under 10 years of age.

The event did see a smaller turnout from last year, but it raised more than $16,000, with participants young and old taking part in a family walk around Cabri, kids races at the school, and timed 5km and 10km runs. There were even groups of people from other parts of the southwest, including a team from Eastend and another group that came in all the way from Calgary.

Congratulations to those who helped make the Gutsy Walk a success! In the three years the walk has been held in Cabri, they have now raised over $45,000 for Chron's & Colitis Canada, and the walks this year across Canada raised over $3 million!
