Shaunavon's most musical family is set to win another crop of awards this year.

The band could bolster their trophy cabinet with five new awards this year. The SCMAs nominated them for Single of the Year for their big hit 'Burning Down the Barn'. Additionally, they are in the running for Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year.

The Hunter Brothers have had three of their troupe nominated for awards in the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.

Luke Hunter has been nominated for Bass Player of the Year. He is in the running against Brandon Ziola, Mick Gratias, Parker Nabis, and Terry Hoknes.

Brock Hunter is up for Guitar Player of the Year. Also up for the award are Jake Vaadeland, Keegan Barker, Nick Strelic, Scott Patrick, and Terry Lasko.

Dusty Hunter could win Drummer of the Year if it isn't won by Darcy Deschambault, Carter Kent, or Kurtis Kopp.

This isn't the Hunter Brothers' first foray into the SMCAs. They have previously won 21 of their home provinces' highest accolades for country music.

Four of those awards were as a group, being Fans' Choice of the Year, the National/International Artist of the Year, Interactive Artists of the Year, and the Achievement Award.

This year will be the 35th edition of the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. The show itself is set to take place on June 22, in Lloydminster at the Vic Juba Community Theatre.
