The Local Legion Branch 56 in Swift Current is the recipient of a major donation.

Hutch Ambulance presented the Legion with a cheque for $2,668.71. This money was generated during the ambulance service's annual EMS Golf Tournament.

The Public Relations Officer for the Local Legion Branch 56, John Griffin, was grateful for the contribution.

"We as a branch are ever grateful to Hutch for their most generous donation to our organization," said Griffin.

The money will be put towards the assembly and installation of a permanent grave marker for VAD Nurse, Dorothy Bochin

The money was presented and accepted at the January 18 annual general meeting of the Local Legion Branch 56.

"We would like to thank Mr. Duane Doane from Hutch Ambulance, who attended our meeting as a guest of honour to present Branch President Andrew Moon with the cheque," said Griffin. "In addition, we would like to thank all those at Hutch Ambulance for their kindness, and generosity, and for selecting our organization to receive this donation."
