Those are the feelings of Swift Current City Councilor, Bob Dyke, who recently announced he would not re-run for council following his first term on board.

He says that the current administration has done a lot of planning for Swift Current’s future, a process he’d like to see continued with future council members.

Dyke made his decision with his family and partners, taking into consideration he may not be able to make the time commitments to make another term on council successful.

He adds that amongst some of the things he takes pride in with his term on council, is the Civic Centre expansion and construction of the wastewater treatment plant and new hospital.

So far, only Tim Keene and Sandy Larson have formally announced their intentions to run again this fall.
