Nov 27, 2010 vs Balgonie Prairie Storm

  • 2-1 win

  1. Blake Fournier (Dalton Kaake, Tyson Empey)

  2. Blake Fournier

Took 10/19 minors. Outshot Balgonie 26-25. Ben Dancey the win in goal.

Coach Chapman: I was very happy with the way the guys battled tonight. We started the game with 4 defence and 9 forwards and ended the game with 4 defence and 8 forwards so the guys showed some real character and persevered through some adversity. Scott (Kreutzer – Storm head coach) had his guys amped up to play us and they pushed us to the limits. We have to get used to the fact that we have a bulls eye and everyone brings their “A” game when playing us.

The Hurricanes were without Josh Wik (Team Sask Under 16 Camp), Lane Harbor and Chace Nelson (spend the weekend with the AAA Legionnaires), Baydin Pastuck (injury), and Dalton Menke left the game in the first period with a lower body injury.

Hurricanes (12-3-4) have won six in a row and momentarily sit in first place in the SSMHL. They went 7-1 in the month of November. Next action is a December 4th home game versus the same Balgonie Prairie Storm (8:00 – Iplex).
