Shaunavon's Kalan Lind is one of 18 players from the Western Hockey League taking part in tonight's CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Langley, BC.

The Red Deer Rebels forward, who's also celebrating his 18th birthday today, has 14 goals and 31 points in 39 games this season, and 38 goals and 85 points in 115 career WHL games. He was ranked 23rd among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings earlier this month.

"It's definitely a big game for us," Lind told reporters on Tuesday. "It's showing lots to scouts and teams, but I think it's also for us just to meet other guys and have fun with our teammates. We don't get to play with those [OHL and QMJHL] guys very much and you get to see them here, talk to them and see what their leagues are like, and obviously you get to meet up with your friends and all the guys who play in the [WHL], and get to talk about the rivalries you've had with them this year."

Lind will be playing on Team White, which also features Jackson Unger and Brayden Yager of the Moose Jaw Warriors, Tanner Molendyk of the Saskatoon Blades and Jaden Lipinski of the hometown Vancouver Giants. WHL leading scorer and consensus #1 prospect Connor Bedard of the Regina Pats headlines the Team Red roster.

Tonight's game will be broadcast live on TSN starting at 9:00pm CST.
