In one week, little trick or treater's will be making their way around Swift Current.

Constable Erin Folk says parents should make sure their children's costumes aren't going to be a problem, by checking that they don't drag on the ground and reflective tape and/or glowsticks should be given to the kids so drivers can see them.

For kids, Folk says to always walk on the sidewalk, don't cut through yards, and don't run into the street.

Folk also reminds home owners to keep their porch lights on, keep candles away from windows, and keep pets away from the trick or treaters.
