The Max Kirkpatrick Rink from the Swift Current Curling Club

A rough start for Max Kirkpatrick at the SaskTel Tankard in Melfort.

His rink from the Swift Current Curling Club lost their opening game 11-8 to Jamie Schneider on the first day of the Provincial Men's Curling Championship on Wednesday. The score was tied at eight coming home, but Schneider scored three in the tenth end with the hammer.

Kirkpatrick drops to the B-Event in the triple-knockout format, and faces Darrell McKee this afternoon at 3:00pm.
