The town of Kyle received $25,000 for their Community Sports Centre for winning a spot on the 2011 TSN Kraft Celebration Tour
We'll find out later today if another southwest community will be in the running to host the Kraft Celebration Tour this summer.
TSN will announce the 20 finalists who will move on to the voting stage for the tour, with 10 of those communities winning a $25,000 community award from Kraft, and a chance to host a live SportsCentre broadcast from their town.
Last year, the town of Kyle won a spot on the tour after winning against Meadow Lake in the vote. The Kyle Community Sports Centre received the community award to go toward facility upgrades, and the town hosted Sportscentre on August 23rd.
Over 500 nominations were received for the tour across Canada, which include submissions from the communities of Shaunavon, Kincaid, Hazlet, Cabri and Chaplin in southwest Saskatchewan.
The announcement of the finalists will be aired on Sportscentre this afternoon at 3:30pm on TSN.
