Cooler nights can lead to unsavoury conditions.

Unsavoury conditions are just one factor at play for incidents like the collision that occurred at the intersection of Sixth Avenue Northeast, and Chaplin Street East.

RCMP responded to the crash around 10:30 p.m.

The wreck only involved two vehicles, with one vehicle being able to drive away safely. The other, a grey SUV, needed to be towed away from the scene.

Nobody was reported injured at the scene.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, especially with the warmer days leading to even slipperier nights on the roads. Once things cool back down, any moisture on the road turns slick with the cool night air, leaving a sheer surface. Leaving extra room to slow down and stop can be paramount to avoiding negative outcomes in these conditions.
