The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires fell 6-2 to the Regina Pat Canadians in the second half of a home-and-home set on Thursday night at Innovationplex.

Steven Steranka and Ellis Mieyette gave Regina a 2-0 lead in the first period before Kade Stringer put the Legionnaires on the board with a power play goal with two seconds left in the opening frame. Dayce Derkatch then scored on the power play to give the Pat-C's their two-goal lead back early in the second. Jace Egland cut Swift Current's deficit to 3-2 with a goal 4:04 into the middle frame, but Regina wrapped up the scoring with three unanswered goals by Cruz Klapak and Jagden Taylor in the second period and Derkatch in the third.

Parker Rondeau had assists on both Legionnaires goals and Berney Weston made 44 saves as the Pat-C's outshot Swift Current 50-29.

The Legionnaires (22-11-3) visit the Notre Dame Hounds in their next game on Tuesday.
