It was a tough weekend for the Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires away from home.

Coming off an 8-5 win over the Yorkton Maulers the weekend prior, Swift Current travelled to Warman Saturday night to take on the Wildcats for the first time this season.

The Wildcats controlled play from puck drop scoring once in the first, four times in the second, and adding a trio more in the third en route to an 8-0 victory over Swift Current.

Southwest products Rhett Dekowny and Jaydon Jessiman found the scoresheet for the Wildcats with the former recording an assist and the latter netting a goal and adding a helper.

The Legionnaires then continued their northern road swing in Saskatoon on Sunday evening and the results were similar to Saturday as the Contacts ousted Swift Current 7-1.

Assistant captain Matt Ripplinger scored Swift Current's lone goal of the game-tying it at 1-1 in the first. Saskatoon would pull away in the second with four goals and then add a pair in the third.

Swift Current is now 9-8-1 on the season and will host 1-13-2 Tisdale Trojans twice this weekend at the iPlex.
