For the third time since 2019, a team from the Swift Current Curling Club has captured the CURLSASK Open Mixed Curling Championship, and this time, they'll be representing Saskatchewan on home ice with Swift Current hosting the national championship this fall.

Skip Colton Flasch, with third Kelly Schafer and Chris & Teejay Haichert on the front end, went unbeaten through the A event in North Battleford to earn a bye to the semi-final where they defeated Mitchell Heidt 10-4 in five ends. In the final on Sunday, Flasch used deuces in the third, fourth and seventh ends to double up Dustin Kalthoff 6-3.

It's Flasch's first provincial mixed title as skip after six provincial men's championships in Saskatchewan and Alberta and a Brier title in 2019. It's the fourth provincial mixed championship for the Haicherts and for Schafer, who wins her second provincial championship this season after playing third for Robyn Silvernagle's team that won the Viterra Scotties in January.

The 2023 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship will be held at the Swift Current Curling Club from November 5-11.
