Demand for the Great Western Railway continues to grow.
Great Western Railway continues to expand it’s short-line rail service. Last year, they had a record year of about 3500 cars. And this year, they’ve increased the fleet by 900.
The short-line rail based out of Shaunavon covers almost 600 kms of track which includes the Shaunavon, Vanguard, Altawan, Notukeu and Fife Lake Subdivisions.
In November of 2004 the short-line rail was purchased by a large group of local producers and is now locally owned.
With Great Western, farmers can save approximately a thousand dollars for a car of grain.
