Tyler Servant, a local swimmer, has been selected as one of two males and two females from Saskatchewan to compete at the Special Olympics Summer Games taking place in Winnipeg in August. Tyler has been swimming for the last 4 years and loves the competition and sportsmanship of the games. He also has really enjoyed working with his coaching team here in Swift Current. In a recent meet, Tyler completed the 50m Front Crawl in 40 seconds in a hotly contested race that saw his 4th place finish differ by only a few seconds from the winning swimmer. Tyler and his mother Kim dropped by the Eagle studios and spoke about his sport, his selection for the Canadian Special Olympics Team, and his passion for swimming. We here at the Eagle 94.1 thank Tyler for dropping by to speak with us and wish him great success as he represents our province at the Special Olympic Summer Games!
