Police in Swift Current are still seeing increasing thefts from automobiles, despite several public pleas for drivers to lock their vehicles.

 

City RCMP Staff Sergeant Al MacDonnell says most of those thefts happen to cars that are left unlocked:

 

 

MacDonnell adds City RCMP are once again urging vehicle owners to lock their vehicle, even if they're going to be away for a short time, and especially when they're parked for the night:

 

 

MacDonnell says an unlocked vehicle with valuables in plain view is just an open invitation for a thief looking for quick cash or items.
