The first long weekend of summer saw a number of thefts from vehicles, and one stolen vehicle.

Swift Current RCMP say, on the evening of Friday, May 16th, a pickup truck that was parked on Milburn Crescent was entered, and some change and cigarettes were stolen.

During the evening hours of Sunday, May 18th, two more vehicles were entered on 4th Avenue North East.  One of those vehicles, a black Jeep Cherokee, was taken and later found abandoned near the intersection of Winnie Street and 15th Avenue North East.  A Sirius Satellite radio and $200 in American currency were stolen from the Jeep.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Businesses are also asked to take note of any $5 and $10 American bills in circulation.

Residents are being reminded to make sure vehicles are locked, and valuables are removed.
