Swift Current's historic Lyric Theatre has announced a new series of locally-produced plays called "Sparks in the Dark: Plays to Ignite the Imagination", that will start this fall and run to spring of 2019. The three plays being presented are the Canadian-made wartime love story "Mary's Wedding" in September, a collection of Robert Munsch stories for the Christmas season, and a tribute to mothers called "Motherhood Out Loud" in the spring.

Gordon McCall, Artistic Director for the Lyric Theatre, joined Colin on the Magic Morning Show to talk about the play series, and other events coming up at the Lyric in August.

Tickets for the Sparks in the Dark play series will be available in advance at Pharmasave and more details will be made available soon on the Lyric Theatre website.
