The Lyric Theatre is open to any and all talent looking to perform tonight.

The local talent venue is hosting its monthly 'Open Stage' night.

If you can sing, dance, play an instrument, or do anything else that you want to perform for folks, tonight is the night to show them what you got.

This is a chance for anyone who maybe hasn't performed in front of a crowd with their talent to dip their toes in the pool of public performance. They encourage anyone proud of their talent or specialty to come out and show the crowd what they are capable of.

Denise Wall, president of the board of directors for the Lyric Theatre, extends this offer to a variety of talents.

"You can come in and do anything that you want to do," said Wall. "Whether it's music, poetry, dancing, or comedy, it's whatever you want to do."

For those who want to come out and watch the various acts that will be on throughout the night, the show starts at 8 p.m, with doors opening at 7 p.m.

For those who would like to perform, all you have to do is show up and sign up to perform when you arrive. The Lyric provides the stage, sound system and audience, so all you need to bring is any equipment that you may use in your act.

Another bonus of performing is that its free entry. Everyone who comes to watch will have to pay $7 for a ticket at the door.

There will be drinks and snacks available for purchase at the venue, and any children coming will need to be accompanied by an adult.

"Open Stage is really just a chance for the community to come and show their talents or just come and listen to the talent that we have here in Swift Current," summarized Wall.
