Another southwest community is benefitting from the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund from the Provincial and Federal governments.

Maple Creek has been awarded over $44,000 for their swimming pool.

Town Administrator Mark Caswell says they had applied for the grant last year to fund upgrades to the pool, including new energy-efficient boilers and a new skimmer system to properly filter pool water.  The total cost for those upgrades was $89,000.

Caswell says work on the project will begin in late April or early May.
