Moose Jaw singer/songwriter Megan Nash is back in Swift Current.

Nash, who has toured across Canada, will be a special guest as a part of the Blenders Music Camp in the Grove.

The camp is a chance for young musicians to learn hands-on from experienced musicians.

She says she draws a lot of her musical inspiration from working with children and young musicians

"I have done a few workshops over the years, actually quite a few and they are always inspiring not only for students who are participating but also for myself it is a nice way to get back in touch with why I write songs."

Raised on a farm near Mortlach, Nash says that telling the story of her rural roots through songwriting is the most important element of her job.

" It is important for me because I feel its an artists job to document their human experience in the community that they live in because it gives a sense of pride to the community. All artists are ambassadors of their communities so I think that is just really important."

Nash will also be preforming a show at the Lyric Theater tonight.
