The annual Meyers Norris Penny Par 3 Challenge is set for Friday afternoon from the Chinook Golf Club.

Last year's event raised $16,000 for local charity groups and the plan is for a repeat performance. Charities benefitting this year include Kidsport, Big Brothers, Canadian Mental Health, SPCA and Southwest Crisis Services.

Linda Wanner is one of the organizers.  She says there are still a couple spots available for the event.  You can call 773-8375.

Registration is set for 12pm, golfing begins at 1pm.
