More than 55,000 people in Canada are living with brain tumors, and two cousins from Ontario are biking across Canada to help make life easier for them.

The Miles 4 Minds Tour, started by Andrea Senyk and Derek Zwambag, is an 8000-kilometre ride from BC to Newfoundland, in a bid to raise $20,000 for the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.

The tour restarted from Swift Current on Monday after stopping for the night on Sunday. Senyk says so far, it has been a good ride for the most part with some decent weather, and they have had some great support from the communities they have visited along the way.

Senyk adds the tour was inspired by two people in her life who were living with brain tumors.

The tour started at Port Hardy, BC on April 30, and is scheduled to end in St. John's, NL, in mid-July.
