A Moose Jaw man and three children who were reported missing Saturday night have returned home safe and sound.

Robert Riemer was on his way home from Avonlea, located 40 minutes southeast of Moose Jaw, with his two young sons and a friend of theirs.  After turning onto a back road, he lost control and got stuck in the ditch.

After failing to dig himself out, Riemer did the right thing and spent the night in the van with the kids.  Riemer says he wasn't worried, as the van was able to still run and keep everyone warm.

First thing Sunday morning, Riemer walked to a nearby farmyard and got help.

Needless to say, his family, and the family of the other young boy, were happy to see them home.
