The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation held their second-annual Fun Muddy Mayhem on Thursday, and raised $7,200 to put towards their Radiothon.

Eight teams, totalling over forty participants, took on the 15-station course on the foundation's property in Swift Current.

Sean Finell - special events/public relations coordinator for the foundation - said it was a great time.

"First of all the weather cooperated with us in a big, big way, which was amazing. But we think it was just a tremendous event. We had a lot of fun. We had eight teams of runners out there on the course, and I think everybody who participated had a good time - it sure seemed like that anyway."

The goal for the Radiothon on November 2nd and 3rd is to raise $147,000 to renew maternity equipment in Cypress Regional Hospital.

Last year the run took place late in September, but they bumped it ahead by a bit for the better weather, and it was a move that worked.

Finell said they didn't have as many people out for the second installment of the event, so they'll be putting their heads together to think of how they can make it bigger next year.
