"Stand Up and Be A Friend" is this year’s theme for Bullying Prevention Week.

Bullying Prevention Week wrapped up last week and the newsroom asked two schools their opinions on bullying.

Ashley Park Principal, Kathy Robson, says they teach their students about bullying year-round.

Robson says they a character education program, which shows students how to get along with each other and how to respect each other.

Travis Kelln is the Vice-Principal of Fairview School. He says the first step to stop bullying is getting help.

Recent statistics state that every seven minutes a child is bullied, and one in four children are victims of being bullied.
