New York Blanks New Jersey In Game 1

The New York Rangers blanked New Jersey 3-0 last night to take a 1-0 series lead in the NHL's Eastern Conference final. 

Chris Kreider set up Dan Girardi for the game's first goal under one minute into the third period.

Kreider scored an insurance goal with eight minutes left in the game, with Artem Anisimov potting an empty-netter to cap the victory.

Henrik Lundqvist  made 21 saves for the shutout.

The Western Conference final continues in Phoenix tonight as the Los Angeles Kings try and build on their 4-2 game one win over the Coyotes.
