Yesterday in Swift Current Provincial Court a guilty plea to a lesser charge was entered by one of four men charged in a kidnapping case.

Christopher Lee Roskom -  26 years old from Brandon, Man. - pleaded guilty to forcible confinement, and will be incarcerated for 90 days.

The court heard that his involvement in the kidnapping was to a lesser extent - as he was watching the residence where the victim was being held. The victim did break free during that time.

The alleged kidnapping took place on June 13, and the victim escaped the next day.

The Swift Current Municipal RCMP received a complaint of two adult males forcing another adult male (from Swift Current) into a vehicle and driving off.

Christopher Drover, Robert Ballingall, David Joss and Roskam were all arrested in Brandon back on July 24 and were sent to Saskatchewan to be tried on kidnapping charges.

Drover made a court appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Monday and he is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on August 14 at 10 a.m.

He was released on $10,000 bail and is on house arrest.

Joss was also released on $10,000 bail with house arrest. And Ballingall was released on $2,500 bail.
