The Streambank Golf Club in Eastend held their Irrigation Fundraiser Golf Tournament recently, bringing out a total of 37 golfers to raise money for a new irrigation system at the course.

The Tournament included 18 holes of four person, best ball golf, lunch and a supper.

Ryan Medforth is the Treasurer of The Streambank Golf Club. He talked about why they decided on a new irrigation system for the course. "What it is, is that the irrigation system we have in place is very old and so there's lots of leaks and lots of repairs and things that need to be done. So, we're looking at raising money to replace the entire project over the next two years."

The cost to replace the irrigation system is just over $300,000. So far, the Club has raised $40,000 from other fundraising events.

The Golf Tournament brought them one step closer to the new irrigation system, raising just under $14,000.
