NHL Playoffs

The Florida Panthers are one win away from a Stanley Cup berth after sneaking past the Carolina Hurricanes last night 1-0.

Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves for the shutout. Sam Reinhart scored the lone goal of the game on a power play in the second period.

The Panthers now lead the series 3-0.

NBA Playoffs

The Denver Nuggets punched their ticket to the NBA Finals last night after scoring a 113-111 come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Nuggets centre Nikola Jokic registered a triple-double with 30 points,14 rebounds, and 13 assists.

Lakers forward LeBron James poured in 40 points in the loss. 

Denver won the series 4-0.

Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays nightmares at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay continued last night.

Tampa Bay raced out to a 4-0 lead by the bottom of the third inning and didn't look back holding on for a 6-4 win.

Whit Merrifield and Daulton Varsho hit home runs in the loss for Toronto.

The Blue Jays have now lost seven of their last eight games.

World Hockey Championships

Norway shocked Canada at the World Hockey Championships yesterday winning 3-2 in a shootout.

Thomas Olson scored the winner for Norway as he beat former Bronco Joel Hofer.

Hofer made 21 saves in the loss.

Canada plays Czechia this morning at 7:20 a.m.
