Jordan Weal led the way last night as the Regina Pats topped the Swift Current Broncos 4-0.

Weal scored the game's opening goal, and set up the Pats' second goal in the second period as Regina shut down the Broncos offence last night. Morgan Klimchuk and Dryden Hunt also scored for the Pats.

Rookie Pats' goalie Jeff Beukeboom made 27 saves for the shut out. Austin Smith came on for the Broncos mid-way through the game and stopped all 21 Pats shots he faced. Starter Jon Groenheyde allowed four goals on 16 shots. The Pats outshot the Broncos 37-27.

The game between the two old rivals got physical in the third period as four fights broke out, including three in one stoppage.

The Broncos host Brandon tonight. The Wheat Kings lost 4-2 to Lethbridge last night, and are eight points ahead of Swift Current for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
