More people have been fined for illegally hunting as the Ministry of Environment looks to crack down on poachers. Three Saskatchewan men were found guilty and were fined more than $14,000 for a pair of incidents that happened back in November 2015.

Officials say they got a call to the Turn In Poachers hotline, claiming an elk was shot out of hunting season on private land near Kamsack. A few days later, officers located a white-tailed deer kill site, also on private land in the area. Not long after, officers found part of the elk... left to waste in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park.

36 year old Raymond Sparvier of Melville, 29 year old Christopher Weisgerber of Regina and 26 year old Clinton Durocher of Regina were all found guilty of various hunting offences.
