After 8 decades, St Angela's Academy will close it doors after this school year.

The Ursuline Sisters have ran the school since 1919, and due to the aging Sisters, low enrollment, and rising costs they have decided to no longer sponsor or manage the academy.

Sister Rosetta Runiger is the Executive Director of St Angela's Academy says it's been an emotional time for all involved. She says that most saw it coming, but most believed it wouldn't happen so quickly.

Sister Rosetta says the search will soon begin to find a new owner to operate the facility as an educational instution. There are currently 42 girls enrolled at the school.
