The number of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan is nearing triple digits after nine more have been confirmed in the provincial government’s Thursday update.

The total now sits at 95 – all confirmed, with none bearing ‘presumptive’ status any longer.

Five cases are a result of local transmission – an increase of one overall after a case was reported in the northern region of the province.

The rest remain travel-related.

Three cases have seen people recover, though the province says there may be more yet to be reported to Public Health.

A total of 6,915 tests have been performed by the Roy Romanow Provincial Lab.

The Swift Current Online Newsroom will continue to provide updates as they arise.
